These Deconstructed Burger Bowls have all the yummy flavors of hamburgers, all the fixin's, and of course crispy seasoned fries! All drizzled with a homemade mouth-watering burger sauce. This is the perfect, macro-friendly summer dinner!
Similar to burrito bowls (which I'm equally obsessed with!), deconstructed burger bowls takes all the delicious parts of a mouth-watering burger (minus the bun) and layers them all on top of a bed of freshly chopped romaine lettuce. But the truth is, the best part about these deconstructed burger bowls is this drool-worthy homemade burger sauce. Bonus: you don’t have to deal with all the dripping mess or the uneven topping distribution, plus you get a little bit of everything in every bite this way.
Deconstructed Burger Bowls
Ingredients:
• 1-16 oz. package 93% lean ground beef or turkey
• 4 C shredded romaine lettuce (bagged salad kits work great as well!)
• 1 C chopped red onion
• 1 large avocado, sliced
• 1 C tomato, chopped
• 1/2 C shredded cheese
• Frozen fries (I love the Alexia brand)
• Salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder
Directions:
In a medium frying pan, add your ground beef and season with salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder over medium heat. Cook ground meat on medium heat for about 7-10 minutes until completely brown and cooked through.
Cook french fries according to package instructions. (I love using my air fryer to save on time and dishes! Plus, the fries turn out perfect and crunchy every time!)
In a large salad bowl, assemble your burger salad bowl. Layer lettuce, cooked ground beef or turkey, tomatoes, red onion, avocado, cheese and fries in the bowl.
Top with burger sauce & enjoy!
